Seen above is a set of our "Medium" Compound Hot-Shoes on one of Scalextric's "NASCAR" Models.

But why "HOT-SHOES"? What makes HOT-SHOES better than other tires on the market?

  • Well, for one thing, HOT-SHOES come in THREE DIFFERENT RUBBER COMPOUNDS, to suit just about any track and driving style!
  • Secondly, unlike silicons, these tires are vulcanized in real rubber compounds !
  • Because of this, HOT-SHOES won't split, crack or tear! Nor are they "dust magnets! Hence they remain remarkably stable from lap to lap, race to race!
  • HOT-SHOES won't leach silicons or oils to spoil your models finish, or mess up your showcase!
  • HOT-SHOES won't crack with age! No unpleasant surprises here!
  • HOT-SHOES Are Scaled from Real Racing Tires and are DETAILED on BOTH SIDES!
  • Depending on the style, many HOT-SHOES have Raised Lettering and Dimensional Data on them, with at least one side Pad-Printed so you can show 'em off !
  • And HOT-SHOES WORK! In actual tests against the clock, HOT-SHOES smoked the competition! Don't believe it? Read on. . .
SOME DOCUMENTED TESTS. . .

In actual track testing on the FANTASY WORLD HOBBIES in-store track, running a box-stock Scalextric NASCAR car similar to the one shown above, manager Bob Ward was able to go from a fastest lap of 5.358 on Stock tires down to a 4.888 on our "Soft" compound. That's real close to a 10% improvement over stock on a "magnet" car on a "home" type (Scalextric) track! And a good 5% than he could do using any of the poured "Silicon's" he had available!

And Bob remarked that he was totally impressed with how CONSISTENT his lap times remained too.

Plus

MODEL CAR RACING's "test pilot" had this to say about our tires

"After running thru the normal set of tests on the Carrera track, I ran a set of tests on the tires from "Hot Shoes". I used the std. Scalextric SW NASCAR #99. The first set of tests on the std. car with magnet fwd, magnet middle, and mag aft had these results

  • Magnet fwd/ avg. lap time = 5.20 sec
  • Magnet mid/ " " " = 4.70 sec.
  • Magnet aft/ " " " = 4.40 sec.

"With no other changes except new tires, and very slight sanding to break outside edge

  • Hard compound = 4.27 sec
  • Medium compound = 3.74 sec!!!
  • Soft compound = 4.02 sec

"What ever they did is right on for Carrera track. They seem to pick up dust, etc. but cleaning doesn't seem to make a difference, and the cool thing is that the medium is best, which means they hit it perfect, at least for Carrera track surface. The soft and medium are very driveable, doesn't seem possible to overdrive the tires, while hard drives like std. scaly tire, and can be driven too hard, where they won't recover from a slide.

"They hook up better than most silicones I have tried, very little sideslip on soft and medium. If they made them to fit Slot-It rims, I'd run them at the next race. Nice stuff, and probably not as fragile as silicones in mounting. . . As they say on the package, they have three compounds in order to match up with different conditions. Hope the tires work on their own chassis as well."

We'll deliver the traction! You supply the talent! And expect the best! HOT-SHOES!
